P.S. As a side note, I can say that I personally owned a pitbull while growing up, and she was the most intelligent, gentle, loyal, tolerant and fun-loving dog I have ever known. We were blessed with 10 years of her companionship, and the worst thing we ever had to deal with was her slobbery jowls after she drank from her water bowl. (She liked to wipe them on the first available lap.) We were even able to teach her to stay in the yard with no leash or tether, to look both ways before she crossed a street when we took her for a walk, and even to carry balloons in her mouth!
