Each element is taught in a 12 bar format and each element references a song that is similar in style and feel. At the end of this book all the bass patterns learned comprise a list of over 20 songs. The online audio recording will help you hear what each example sounds like. Finally, all of the references in this book are written for a right-handed 4-string electric bass. If you play a 5-string bass you will need to extend the examples to include the low B string. If you play left-handed then you need to reverse any references to the left and right hands. Written in notation and tablature. Chapters include: Music and Instrument Primer, Major Blues Bass Lines, Minor Blues Bass Lines, Intros-Turnarounds-Endings, and Recommended Listening.
