When Leo Joy thwarts a hunting party’s attempts to shoot a lion while on safari in Tanzania, his vicious boyfriend throws him from the truck in which they’re traveling, leaving him at the mercy of the wild animals roaming the game park. Leo can do little but sit and wait for rescue. When a lion and its mates come sniffing, he expects to be pet meat by morning, but the lions seem to have something altogether different on their minds.

This is an update of a story previously published in a shorter version by loveyoudivine Alterotica.

I was bored out of my tree.

“Leo, at least try to look as if you’re having fun even if you’re not,” Evil Bastard Boyfriend, otherwise known as Brad, repeated what he’d said earlier in the day.

I shrugged off his sarcasm to concentrate all my attention on staying upright and hanging on for dear life. It’s extremely difficult to look as if you’re having a good time standing in the back of a four-wheel drive plated like a tank to withstand the most ferocious animal attack. Not to mention that said vehicle is roaring across the Tanzanian landscape while your boyfriend, who has no experience with a water pistol let alone the monstrous weapon he is attempting to control, is on the lookout for wild game. Oh, and also on the lookout for Game Wardens because, strictly speaking, we’re in a wildlife reserve where hunting is expressly prohibited. But then, as Brad would have it, why have lashings of money if not to bribe a few officials and pay your way out of any nasty situations that arise, especially if you can track down and murder something that will be a talking point in your palatial 5th Avenue residence overlooking New York’s famed Central Park?

Besides, not only was I bored, I was bloody sore. Brad is one of those possessive types who believes his boyfriend du jour is his own personal property. He also believes in monogamy – up to a point. It’s for his partner; it’s just not for him, of course. He pulls all the strings, especially those attached to money. His idea of a relationship is that he can fuck around as much as he wants but you do what he says. If that means enforced chastity because he’s too busy or too tired, then so be it. If it means monotonous…oops, I mean monogamous three-minute sex with a man whose technique consists of thrusting and grunting, plus a few curses delivered like bad ’70s gay porn, and a total disregard for his partner’s pleasure, then that’s what you have to endure. If it means he farms you out to his friends or enemies, then you have to grit your teeth and go with the flow. And face the fact that your days are numbered because he’s getting bored with you and he can only get hard watching your humiliation.

I wasn’t too concerned because there was a certain amount of blackmail involved in my…um…sexual loan. It hadn’t been Brad’s idea. Mwamba, the corrupt head ranger who was leading our highly illegal and top secret hunt, wanted not just cash in advance but also a little incentive for him and his men to co-operate. Preferably the cute young blond boy with the great smile and the ass that could balance dinner plates. That would be me. Seems honey blonds, female and male, are almost as precious as gold.
